Junior Jiu-Jitsu is a development program for kids aged 8 to 12 years
old. Students that do Jiu-jitsu find improvements in Self-confidence
and problem solving through improving athletic abilities like
coordination, fine motor skills and learning fundamental self-defence
concepts that will stick with them.
The Juniors develop confidence by mastering basic Jiu-Jitsu movements in drills and situational sparring
Classes are run in a structured environment, where participation and effort is encouraged and rewarded
Students learn the skills they need for basic self-defence, including anti-bullying strategies and de-escalation techniques
Students learn to problem solve by using a combination of technique, balance and body movement.
Juniors earn belts and stripes that demonstrate skills they have learned as part of the program. They also have the option to compete if they wish to.
Students work together as a team and develop a sense of sportsmanship and fair play
